I'm not quite sure how to rate this. I agree kinda / sorta in the principle of the absolutes, BUT ! ahhh! . A lot of P C defined concepts. Does the generally used concept : "masters of all they survey", mean a god like ability ? (I think not). What is "absolute power" that there is no such thing ?

This quote is so amenable to individual opinions - Obama obviously hated in Texas, and Donald's haters have not yet woken up!
The world is being divided BECAUSE of politics! The USA is being split by the people who live in it. Instead of a central government composed of many parties, there are too many of ONE and too few of any others. United States now has a DISUNITED election system that does not work! What a pity!

The belief that everything is controllable by man is the fuel of politics. "If only we had more 'power' we could solve the problem of poverty and war." -- all the while ignoring the causes of poverty and war, They then disarm/tax/disempower the people (the very definition of poverty, powerlessness) in order to empower the Centralized Power with which wars will be waged against poverty and war. Yes, life guides me. I don't guide life or foolishly have the notion of it's being its master. Life is a good dimension and I try to learn it's invaluable lessons and wonderful strengths.  I try to maintain a positive loving relationship with the life dimension. Socialism is the challenge of social abilities to create the life connection.
