And most of those people killed had without a doubt, been disarmed. The government that controls the guns, controls everything.

Reminds me of a line in Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn's "The Gulag Archipelago"... Something about how quickly Stalin's purges would have ended if each person being arrested had fired one bullet at their kidnappers...

This is the tendency of nationalist governments. Civilian disarmament guarantees totalitarianism.

I'm not quite sure how to rate the accuracy of the quote  5 stars for the accuracy or a thumbs down for man's inhumanity to man. The occupying statist theocracy infesting this land is guilty of many / MANY assassinations for theocratical, winning court cases against the IRS, financial and other assorted reasons. A blood sport by the theocracy's local standing army (police) have also taken many lives (by example: a young / small black boy {reported to be 14?} was shot in the back several times while running away {he having harmed no one}). The U.S. has, up to date, been spared the wholesale slaughter that certain Asian, European and other demonic regimes of theocratic socialism have experienced.

Peace, simply, begins at home.
