That is why we the people need to keeps tabs on these agencies, although I would commend to Joe that the CIA is authorized by the constitution, so long as it operates outside the borders of the United States. The Agency has done some pretty good work that most folks have never heard of. But they have no place in our Republic,

Power corrupts. That is why our government is established with checks and balances in order to make sure no single branch of government can usurp the power of the others. Of course, attempts to centralize power with hthe Executive branch never ceases -- that's why we need a Congress that is not afraid of the President.

Absolutely. Vigilante justice is justice that corrupts.
