Did Washington remain president until his death? I have not heard that. Men of vision and integrity can relinquish power just as easily as they assume it.

Malcom X was not a lover of liberty for all. The "Liberty Quotes" should only be from those that persued liberty for all.

Not shooting the messenger here, a concept that is probably true more often than not for carnal men. There are many examples contrary the the quote's sentiment. From a position of anger, non-truth / love, and violence, the quote's subject focus is a given.

The quote is, on its face, entirely accurate.

We can only hope those we replace in congress next month won't be just different people-same situation.

Malcom X is talking about, ascendancy, authority. What be thought was his birthright. And everyone owes him because of his race. His power was his race.

I may not agree with his politics, but Malcolm X is 'right on' with this statement. If we wish to stop the march to fascism, we will have to face it with equal or greater power -- words alone ain't gonna cut it.

Is not the truth of the statement self evident? How can one not respect Malcolm X? A man who self educated himself through the simplicity of reading(studying) a dictionary. A man brave enough to repeatedly admit his errors followed by striving for higher truths. If he had been allowed to live, who knows what good he may have accomplished because truth be told, Malcolm X, did a great deal of good for the common people in his community. a white Christian guy
