And that is the TRUE danger -- agencies like the CIA, FBI, FEMA, BATF, IRS, FDA, DEA, and on and on -- these organizations are untouched by elections and merely grow and grow without oversight until we live in a police state that has its boot on our face forever.

Statism has, time and time again, proved to be inferior to a libertarian viewpoint. Libertarian milieus have created more and hurt fewer people than totalitarian, statist, Socialist or Communist regimes ... whether Left or Right.

And here in lies the danger of lobbyists and pandering politicians. "Temporary" government programs are created, people get jobs in those temporary programs, and they usually serve to some special interests... interests. So, the beneficiaries of those programs lobby to not only keep it, but increase it, and the people working in the programs want to keep their jobs (and hopefully, in their eyes, an expanded role), and finally, the politicians are always on the lookout for more voters to pander to.

This current gov is like a farmer trying to bar off corn with a horse. Foxes rather than guard dogs at the gates. Their minds are tainted wells. Mindful or not.
