Democracy, and the ideas thereof, are terribly misunderstood by the majority and should be slandered. A plutocracy does describe much of what inflicts the individual sovereign in today's criminal body politic.

I fear Ramsey Clark may be pretty close to the truth. The wealthy always have the edge of "buying" democracy.

Good Lord. This is a quote on Liberty?!?!? This is a political statement designed to an end - election of someone playing the populist game. Fear mongering is not liberty. Paranoia is not liberty. Partly true. We are a democracy (one man one vote) in which money can have a say. It is up to the electorate to be "untouchable". Our democracy will have as much integrity as does its' individual members.

More double-speak. This is an argument for democratic socialism which is but to blame the 'rich' for the problems government creates then raid the private property of the people afterwards and give it to the rich. If America is now a plutocracy, it is because 'democracy' has brought us there. Return to LIMITED government, respect private property, and sweep away the webs of corruption in Washington. Our elected Congress is now raiding the Treasury of everything it will ever have in our lifetimes and giving it to the rich. This is democracy for you!

Given the role of the international banking cartel and it's influence over world politics to the end of having a one world order/new world order, this statement is probably fairly accurate. Having it here is not in opposition to liberty (quotes) because accurate knowledge leads to/is liberty.
