“People who are brutally honest get more satisfaction out of the brutality than out of the honesty.”

I say hmmm — I guess some.

The true brutality resides in dishonesty.

The truth can cut like a knife which is why it is best tempered with love.  Often enough the mobs can be ginned up into calling for the blood of anyone.  Forget about the cause, inflict pain, dominate, 'resist' without knowing why — this is not uncommon.  

Interestingly, opinion can be labeled as 'violence' these days and being treated as such in courts of law.
