Walter E. Williams Quote

“Liberalism is a moral manipulation that exaggerates inequity and unfairness in American life in order to justify overreaching public policies and programs. Liberalism undermines the spirit of self-help and individual responsibility. For liberals in academia, the fact that black college students earn lower grades and have a higher dropout rate than any group besides reservation Indians means that blacks remain stymied and victimized by white racism. Thus, their push for affirmative action and other race-based programs is to assuage their guilt and shame for America’s past by having people around with black skin color. The heck with the human being inside that skin.”

The sheer genius of Dr. Williams has long been established! He, like Dr. Thomas Sowell, Dr. Ben Carson & even freshman Senator Tim Scott (R, SC), are all black guys who "get it." They know, as George Washington Carver, Frederick Douglass & Dr. King did, that subservience to the government is the truest form of slavery.

And for that, many of these men are either wholly ignored by history or denigrated by the LIBERAL black community (& certainly by rich white libs) & the supposed "mainstream" media. Or their more conservative statements have been totally blotted from the record. How many average libs know that Dr. King KNEW he & his family weren't safe, so he tried to buy a gun, the permit for which he was denied.

The above is just ONE example of the tidbits left out of our history because they don't fit the narrative of the regressives & their liberal acolytes. And its a freaking shame more people don't take the time to read into more quotes like this...

empty pockets, NO, La

As always, Mr. Williams delivers the truth, raw and unpolished like raw diamonds.

mr. williams quote is 100 % correct on the Liberal, Progressive Agenda which has been increasing since WW II, mostly thru our schools & Gov't. (PC) operations. Soros & Alansky have been using the socialist agenda to overthrow the country as we once knew it. Thanks SCW.

jim k, Austin

I'd sure vote for him for president as well as Thomas Sowell.

Ronw13, Yachats OR

Mr. Williams declined to run for office, but backed Ron Paul. Just as many of whatever color, are " Getting it ". Knowledge is color blind. Call no man common or unclean. God would have All men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the Truth. Apostle Paul. KJB I'm with you Jim. On the other hand, Dr. Ben Carson's hands are best for the knife, with life and death on the line. Just my choice, for level headed observation. Very Applicable Skills.

Very good comments.

Robert, Somewhere in Europe

He should stick to economics... he obviously has has a chip on his shoulder...

Patrick Henry, Red Hill

The most virulently racist among us are they who are most vehement, most ostentatious, in their denunciations of others whom they presume to categorize as being " racists."

In this day, the accusation of racism is the unfailing refuge of scoundrels.

E Archer, NYC

GhostOfCicero nails it. Whatever happened to judging a man by the content of his character? Frankly the character in those calling others 'racist' shows no sign of embracing MLK's ideal. Calling someone a racist or anti-semite is an attack, not a defense, and is used to silence or discredit someone. It is a cheap shot that is carrying less and less weight, and now generally identifies the racist as the one making the accusation. To call someone racist is in fact racist. Attack the argument, not the man. Racist arguments are all ad hominem. It is not a crime to have an opinion about a person or persons; however, it is a crime to violate another's rights no matter what the opinion.

The 800 pound gorilla in the room is the War On Drugs which unequally targets non-white offenders -- some even say that that was the true purpose of Marijuana Prohibition. The purpose of Drug Prohibition is to create offenders and provide jobs to millions of people involved in the enforcement of these statutes. Billions of dollars are spent every year on arresting, processing, and imprisoning those possessing drugs. Those in the inner cities on the low end of the socio-economic scale cannot afford to pay the fines, so they go to jail. Most urban centers' poorest are generally non-white, but more and more whites are joining the poverty class, and more blacks are getting out. Most of the crime and violence in the US is due to the black market selling of prohibited drugs. When exactly did We The People allow the government to start Drug Prohibition when Alcohol Prohibition was declared unconstitutional? Lawyers' tricks all.
