I'm totally confused as to what our Declaration of Independence MIGHT have to do with this particular quote. Any clues would be appreciated.

I carry a handgun as my remedy for the evil brewing around me, and am prepared to defend my life with it when evil rears its ugly head in front of me.

The occupying statist theocracy infesting this land does not adhere to or, even consider the original Constitution (or the founding principles thereof) - nor, the "law" that separated the de jure States united from its colonizer - nor, do the 4 branches of government (executive, legislative, judicial, media) fit into the bifurcation of Machiavelli's here observation.

Thus the implementation of the great threat to convention, diversity,  looms ever so justifiably.
