“Government does not cause affluence. Citizens of totalitarian countries have plenty of government and nothing of anything else.”

And the United States is moving toward those who have, and those who have not.

Too bad liberals don't care about such things. They just think that the method of government providing affluence hasn't been perfected yet.

Those people with a memory lasting back to 1989 still know this is perfectly true.

Earthly governments are philosophies / religions of power and control, mostly engaged in a few usurping the many. As a rule, the greater the country's governmental application (the few) practices totalitarian (cause), the less the many have (effect).

The only way for a government to cause affluence is to get out of the way and stop debasing the currency.  All else is designed to yoke the productive to cause affluence for the state and the politburo.
