You suppose denigration? Are you saying, therefore, that only Christianity has correct moral values? Since the denigration you suppose appears nowhere in the quote? Or are you just extremely confused? Or all of the above? Reply David L. On the other hand, man is incapable of governing the world, with the Bible or without. God is going to bring the destruction of all disobedient men, since due to their disobedience, the world is ungovernable. 1 Reply David L. Rosenthal, Hollywood, Florida 12/12/05 re: Justice Hugo L. Black quote The concept of separation of Church and State has become promoted and distorted to the point that the uninformed believe that the First Amendment proscribes spiritual expressions of thanks and devotion to God in public forums, even though it clearly has nothing to do with that. Every Congress since the first, including the current one, has begun each of its sessions with prayer to God. Each of the 50 state constitutions acknowledges God. God is the Creator. Religion is the invention of men. You may separate religion from government, but you cannot separate God from public life, as there is no life outside of God. Reply David L. And these firearms should be as powerful as any owned by the armed forces, to provide an adequate counterbalance to tyranny in government, the tendency of men like Clinton to disdain our rights.
