A committee is one or more members of a legislative body to whom is specially referred some matter before that body, in order that they may investigate and examine into it and report to those who delegated this authority to them. An example of the quote's accuracy is illuminated with events and the politically correct cover-up of Benghazi. Heroes and others, having first hand knowledge came forth with truth, courage and a perfectly good color. The specially authorized body then set forth inaccuracies, false impressions and outright lies in a cover-up of muting gray.

A committee is a group of people who individually can do nothing but as a group can meet together and decide that nothing can be done.
