By the way, check out HR 45 which will,if passed, effectively dis arm the people of this country. The rats never stop gnawing away at our freedoms. 1 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/10/10 re: Henry Giles quote The Kenyan usurper has probably heard of the Constitution but pays no attention to it. Maybe soneone could slip it onto his teleprompter before he makes one of his many boring speeches. 1 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/10/10 re: Henry Campbell Black quote Amen, J Carlton. 2 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/10/10 re: Henry Cabot Lodge quote The liberal termites in Washington are working day and night to destroy our economy and our few remaining liberties. We must throw them out in November. 3 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/9/10 re: Ralph Waldo Emerson quote The most gullible people are the ones who bought into that "hope and change" nonsense, but even some of them are beginning to wake up. Here in Austin, a liberal town if there ever was one, I am seeing fewer and fewer Obama stickers on cars. They were everywhere around November 2008 but not so anymore. There are still some true believers around proving that you can foool some of the people all of the time. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/9/10 re: H. L. Mencken quote Mike and J are right on and Waffler, please sober up before blathering on this web site. And those "asses" at the tea parties are the reason we don't have a 2000 page monstrosity of a "health care plan" passed at this time. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/9/10 re: Eric Hoffer quote That's "Rush" not "Russ" Waff, and he spends his time exposing asses like Pelosi, Reed,Obama, Gore , and the rest of the usual suspects. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/5/10 re: Theodore Roosevelt quote Golly gee whiz Waff, I'm so sorry that I caused you to feel bad and sad over my agreement with J and Anonymous. I do hope that you recover and have no lasting effects from this. You are almost as big a BS'er as Obama, Reed, and Pelosi. 1 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/5/10 re: John Locke quote A good example of J Carltons comment is the Kennedys, corrupt since papa Joe started bringing bootleg booze into the country, and it got worse after that. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/5/10 re: Theodore Roosevelt quote Anonymous and J Carlton are right. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/4/10 re: Polybius quote Perhaps we are turning the corner in getting our country back, The recent Massachusetts election was a ray of hope. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/3/10 re: Hiram W. Johnson quote Amen, Mike,Norwalk. Nixon ramped up the War on Drugs in 1970, setting up the DEA and increasing the number of narc cops about 100 fold, or more, and It costs about 70 billion dollars a year. What do we get for our money, well, for one thing we've had to build hundreds of new jails. We have more crime in our streets, cops are corrupted, judges bought off, and drugs more available to our children. That's what we get for this so called War on drugs. Check out LEAP.cc for more information. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/2/10 re: C. P. Scott quote Most "newspapers" today are merely propaganda outlets for the libs in Washington. The same goes for CNN,CBS, MSNBC,and ABC. 4 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/2/10 re: L. Lionel Kendrick quote Since Obama, Reed, Nancy, Franks, and the gang have no integrity, it must say something about their character, 1 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/1/10 re: E. H. Chapin quote Liberals in Congress can face public opinion, they just don't pay much attention to it. This has changed a little since the recent Massachusetts vote. It wiil change a lot after the vote in November. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/1/10 re: Abba Eban quote Nowadays they just check the polls every 5 minutes. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 1/29/10 re: Charles W. Tobey quote There are exceptions to my above comment, such as the recent vote in Massachusetts. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 1/29/10 re: Charles W. Tobey quote It does seem as though we find the worst of us and send them to the Congress. 3 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 1/29/10 re: Auberon Herbert quote To paraphrase Washington," Government is not reason, it is force, and like fire it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master". 3 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 1/29/10 re: Eric Hoffer quote Perhaps that's why Bill Buckley said that he would rather be governed by the first 2000 names in the Boston phone book than the Harvard faculty. 2 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 1/28/10 re: Henry David Thoreau quote Carlton is right. I used to travel for a company and carried 700 dollars or so in cash for expenses. Now if the cops stop you and find that you are carrying that much cash, they will confiscate it saying that it is the fruits of a drug deal. They do it all the time. It is now essentially illegal to carry cash in any amount over a few dollars. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 1/28/10 re: Charles Francis Adams quote Failure in Washington is NOT an unpardonable crime. When one of their idiotic liberal schemes fails, they just throw more money at it. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 1/28/10 re: Walter Lippmann quote Just what you'd expect from a far left liberal. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 1/27/10 re: Remy de Gourmont quote Money may not buy happiness, but neither does poverty. This is an accurate quote.
