Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/25/13 re: Thomas Jefferson quote Fox news gets closer to the truth than CBS, CNN,NBC, ABC or any of the major news sources that are all sold out to Obama. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/22/13 re: Richard Haass quote No doubt true. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/22/13 re: Noam Chomsky quote The dictator we have in Washington now surely admires the press we have today. 1 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/21/13 re: Robert A. Heinlein quote Joe, great comment. 1 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/21/13 re: Georg Christoph Lichtenberg quote As they are sometimes called, half truths. We can't even get a half truth out of Obama. 1 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/20/13 re: Will Rogers quote " Hope and Change" comes to mind as well as "Yes We Can." The real danger to this country is the brain dead idiots that bought into those slogans. 1 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/20/13 re: Joseph Pulitzer quote I agree with J on this one. 4 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/15/13 re: Xavier Lerma quote When you have little kids singing songs in our public schools praising Obama, that explains a lot. It still doesn't answer the question of why millions of people who should know better would vote for Obama. Maybe it's because Republicans are so much like Democrats that you can hardly tell the difference. 1 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/15/13 re: Vladimir Ilyich Lenin quote Whether the 4 years is right or not , the essense of this quote is true. Muslims prove this when they program the young to blow themselves up. Oh, I forget, it's a religion of peace. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/14/13 re: Joseph Rowlands quote Damien, what on earth has barfing got to do with arguing for or against religion? Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/14/13 re: Native American Story quote I originally heard it as a black wolf and a white wolf fighting and when asked which one wins, he said the one I say sic'em to. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/14/13 re: Lao-Tzu quote Our Congress, is totally corrupt and is busy making more rules and regulations every day. To quote Mark Twain, "No mans life, liberty, or property is safe while the legislature is in session". Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/14/13 re: Joseph Rowlands quote Being moral is the right thing to do regardless of any religion or lack thereof. " On the whole, human beings want to be good, but not too good, and not quite all the time", George Orwell. 4 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/13/13 re: Johann Gottlieb Fichte quote Reminds me of when the "New Math" was all the rage. 2 plus 2 equals 5, but not to worry, close enough. We wouldn't want to hurt the little darlings self esteem by telling them it was 4. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/13/13 re: Jan Hunt quote I'd change the "All" to "Most". Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/13/13 re: James McGuigan quote Camille, I'd check out that water supply in Salt Lake City. I'm with J Carlton on this one. 2 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/12/13 re: Vladimir Ilyich Lenin quote Like Lenin or not, this is an accurate quote. That's no doubt why Obama pushed so hard to get it passed. 1 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/12/13 re: U.S. Senator quote A great quote and so TRUE. Very little even close to being true has come out of Washington in years. If you plan to listen to Obama give the state of the union address, be sure and wear hip boots as it's likely to get pretty deep. 1 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/12/13 re: Thomas Jefferson quote Katlyn, you are a great example of this quote, the ignorant part anyway. I suspect that you are young, judging from your name since Katlyn was the name given to a lot of kids born 15 to 20 years ago.You no doubt attended public schools which explains why this quote has you baffled. Let me translate for you. If you are ignorant, government can easily pull the wool over your eyes and convince you that they have your welfare in mind while they rob you blind and enslave you. Hell, you won't understand this either. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/11/13 re: Nicholas Kristof quote Government poverty programs, like all this war on poverty, do more harm than good. We now have people making more from welfare than they could make at a job. Not much motivation to seek work here. 3 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/8/13 re: Benjamin Constant quote "The latter corrupt" part describes most of the U.S. Congress but not the "superior itelligence" part. Maxine Waters alone would drop the average intelligence of any group at least 50 points. 1 Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/7/13 re: William Tecumseh Sherman quote Sherman should know as that S.O.B. inflicted a load of cruelty on the South after the war was lost. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/7/13 re: Thomas Jefferson quote Have you noticed that our government always has the country involved in some kind of a war. Wars on poverty, obesity, cancer, hunger, and those pesky shooting wars where people actually get killed. People will give up all sorts of rights when the country is involved in one of those wars where people get shot and blown up, which could be a clue why government keeps one going most of the time. Reply jim k, Austin, Tx 2/6/13 re: Jonathan Swift quote There are many things threatning our freedoms today, gun control, the war on drugs, civil asset forfeiture, the Obama gang and so on. It's hard to say what is the biggest threat, but Islam is up near the top. If you doubt this, get a copy of a book by Geert Wilders, a member of the Dutch Parliament. The book title is "Marked for Death". Mr. Wilders has been under armed guard for the past 10 years due to telling the truth about the Koran and Mohammed. Because of political correctness now infesting our country, telling the truth about Muslims is verboten.Check out this book for the truth about this world wide threat and how Islam is ruining Europe and is right here in America.
