Ian Wachtmeister Quote

“Right now, I'd rather be in Sweden than in the U.S. because we have seen the problems and are moving away from the welfare state. On your side of the Atlantic you are moving right into it, and you risk destroying your country.”

~ Ian Wachtmeister

A good example of why welfare, wealth redistribution and socialism in general fail every time.

That's plain enough that even a liberal can understand it, well, maybe not.

Socialism does not work. European socialist nations are crumbling -- some are making changes, but since the people themselves have lost control of their governments' spending, they have either got to keep going into more and more debt or throw out the system altogether. Unfortunately, the folks in power are the ones to whom the world is indebted, so the change isn't going to come from them ...

We found out from one of the very first settlements in this nation that the common storehouse does not work except at GUNPOINT. Remember the Jamestown settlement.

Welfare is detrimental to the nation , makes people lazy, dependent , unmotivated to work for living and contribute to the health of the nation . Obama has been doing the worse to the country !

No wonder democracy is disappearing in the U.S. Few people understand the meaning of it. I wonder how Mr. Wachtmeister explains the fact that research proves the Swedes and other Scandinavian citizens are so GREATLY more contented, more healthy, served by better government, and are better educated than U. S. citizens? That is socialism, not capitalism. It may not be perfect but the results are markedly superior to our system.

Dick, Ben Franklin and I know what democracy is. "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote!" Of course, after lunch comes dinner and the lamb is already gone. There aren't many lambs left in Europe and they certainly aren't armed. I expect those contented Scandinavians are about to become much less satisfied in the near future when the wolves start getting fleeced.

Sweden, Germany and other countries in Europe are in chaos due to a large influx of immigrants, mostly Muslims. And our closet Muslim president wants to bring large numbers of these people into the United States. Go figure.
