How trite..."If you're happy and you know it clap your hands" ;-) My disposition will be a lot happier when people stop trying to tell how to live and what to do with my time and money.

I interpret this to mean that the one thing we can control is our own attitudes. Whether we will be "happy" or not is up to us, not the government.Too many people seem to think that electing a certain person will improve their lives and it seldom does. Many of the suckers that got all happy when they heard the Dictator in Chief spew that Hope and Change bilge are not so happy now.We have the right to persue happiness but it's up to us whether we find it or not.

That was then, this is now, the current laws, have broken the constitution, curtailed intellectual freedom, and worse. sadly.

I must agree -- this is the key to never letting the bastards get you down. BUT, contentment can also be a trap -- way too many people are too comfortable to honestly stand up against designing men. Happiness is relative, no doubt. I think it more important to stand for something -- it gives meaning to the suffering and the victory.
