The President led his nation as the leader of the world that US is...They needed to fulfill their responsibility of maintaining international peace and security and they courageously and superbly did. To understand their actions, we need to understand world history...People out there desperately need, not only to know history but also to understand what they know about history.. You can argue about dates and claim that the quote is false because it was not given on such and such a date. As Anonymous says, I have actually seen the video of Mr. Bush stating this pledge of allegiance to the UN Charter using the exact words indicated. Interestingly, a recent search for the video produced nothing. Apparently the video has been edited, destroyed or removed from the public's view.
