Yes, how can you not give this five stars - unfortunately, it's preaching to the choir.

People have become so used to government handouts they are more afraid of losing them to even want to try to understand tyranny and freedom. Those are taboo topics they are also afraid of hearing about nevermind learning about.

If you take the people's freedom from them all at once, they will revolt overnight. If you nibble at these freedoms a little at a time, then few seem to notice.

E Archer, NYC

Because today's bondage is of the mind itself.

Waffler, Smith

What does he mean by Free, anyone know?

Mike, Norwalk

Liberty is: "... The power of acting as one thinks fit, without any restraint or control, except from the laws of nature." (Bouvier's law dictionary) Liberty's applied freedom is that each individual is sovereign and united with all other sovereign freemen is/are "to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them," (Declaration of Independence) Freedom is then, ... "the right to do what is not forbidden by law (as constitutionally defined, natural law, as is averse to the codes, ordinances, regulations, rules, statutes, etc. of man that conflicts with natural law). "Freedom does not preclude the idea of subjection to law; indeed, it presupposes the existence of some legislative provision, the observance of which insures freedom to us, by securing the like observance from others." 2 Har. Cond. L. R. 208 (Bouvier's law dictionary) The statist theocracy that now infests this land is in toto aloof from the liberty and freedom set forth by the Constitution, law, and justice. Compelled compliance, license, victimless crimes, larceny with impunity, once sovereign individuals are dealt with as commercial entities, and ownership of property is forbidden are all examples of the tyranny that has robbed freedom. Of course Waffler, you being a slave at heart and mind and earning your sustenance form abusing others, none of this will make any sense to you.

Do Americans know of or care about our history any more? Do the schools teach it completely and honestly? I'm afraid not. Those in political office on the left, and some on the right, are drunk on power, and think they know better than we do what is good for our country. We have incrementally been robbed of liberty and the freedom to pursue happiness by our own government. Tea party, anyone?

Fredrick William Sillik, Anytown

There again freedom, similar to life itself, grows as the individual accepts his role and responsibilities. I am more free then I was before. I am more mature then I was before. I  am more human then I was yesterday.
