In God's Kingdom, they will not be needed, but here on Earth, at this time, a disarmed populace is a clear invitation to tyranny. We are armed, and still the boys in charge tend toward tyranny. What would they do if we had no arms?

About 100,000 die every year in the USA due to physicians' accidents or mistakes, but we do not ban doctors. The number of deaths related to alcohol abuse is many times greater than the number of accidental gun deaths, but we don't ban alcohol. People kill people.

Every government employee takes an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. Every government employee who willingly violates that oath should be severely punished, for treason.

We hire men to protect us with their guns. If we are willing to have dangerous criminals shot for us by armed men, then we should be willing to shoot them ourselves.
