I don't care who said it...or how it was said. 3 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/22/12 re: Robert Hemphill quote Good on ya Archer. A five year old could understand that. Maybe Ol Waffler will even get it. ;-) 3 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/21/12 re: Nikita Khrushchev quote Anonymous Minneapolis: The level of statism / socialism in the USSA surpassed Canada'a doing about 100 mph a long time ago. It's now a much freer nation that America is. 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/21/12 re: William Paterson quote Nero, interesting that you would point out the subsidiary connection to the Bank of England. My research on the subject takes us back to the 1700's right after the War of Independence: Meyer Rothschild (nee Bauer) had just arrived in london with a fortune stolen from a German Prince (William of Hanau) and was in a tremendous position to offer the English Court the money it needed to pay its sailors and soldiers returning home from a lost war in America. Here was the situation that led to the creation of Inland Revenue and a Private Bank issuing funds to a sovereign government. Inland Revenue being the collection agent for that private bank. The model for what we see today was created there and then. The Rothschild's started out as theives and con artists and remain so to this day. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/20/12 re: Wright Patman quote Andrew Jackson : Gentlemen, I have had men watching you for a long time and I am convinced that you have used the funds of the bank to speculate in the breadstuffs of the country. When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, and when you lost, you charged it to the bank. You tell me that if I take the deposits from the bank and annul its charter, I shall ruin ten thousand families. That may be true, gentlemen, but that is your sin! Should I let you go on, you will ruin fifty thousand families, and that would be my sin! You are a den of vipers and thieves. 1 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/20/12 re: Friedrich August von Hayek quote The misdirection is that we're supposed to believe that these Bankster parasites are actually benevolent and "doing their best"...for us! Hardly. They are robbing us blind and working to control everything we do, everything we own, what we think and who we vote for. Kind of makes the War of Independence and every other war we fought against tyranny redundant and makes all of the blood spilled by our ancestors, friends and neighbors in those wars a complete waste of human life. We've been had and it continues now as they prepare to fire up the printing presses again....Say hello to hyper inflation folks...it's going to take everything you have. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/20/12 re: Wright Patman quote And the (non) Federal (no) Reserve continues to rape and pillage the nation. Thieves and Extortionists...They have GOT to GO! I think once the collective conscience of America has tuned into these parasites we just might see a speedy trial and ...what's the punishment for treason? ;-) 2 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/19/12 re: James Madison quote Thanks Mary...my tolerance levels for "stupid" are pretty low these days. I'll work on it. :) 41Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/19/12 re: James Madison quote Waffler you are a complete idiot. Those examples you give were within a nation legitimately at war. We are no longer "legitimately at war". 4 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/19/12 re: William P. Hoar quote “Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” ~ Hermann Goering quote ... much of what has been done in the US is a page right out of the Nazi playbook. 3 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/19/12 re: James Madison quote Crisis is generally contrived. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/19/12 re: Rahm Emmanuel quote Rahm is an immoral corrupt low life. H. Rearden, I can only imagine that Chicago will start to look like Detroit...a third world cesspool. 2 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/18/12 re: Friedrich August von Hayek quote We fought for freedom from oppression on American soil in the 1700's and acheived it. We fought against oppression and tyranny in Europe and Asia in two World Wars. We fought again in Korea and Viet Nam and now we are supposedly fighting "terrorism" in the Middle East. Yet we now put up with a host of alphabet agencies infinging on our freedoms and rights in the name of "security". The Constituion, the founding principles of the nation, have been so perverted as to be unrecognizable. Some will smugly call it progress and go back to the mall or standing in line for the latest apple phone...but some, know what is happening and see it for what it really is. "Oppression" and the complete loss of our rights and freedoms that so many brave men and women fought and died to preserve for us. Our Government no longer works for us...they are owned lock stock and barrel by elitist foreign bankers and corporate interests. Abolish the Fed and Remove the Cancer that is killing the free world. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/17/12 re: P. J. O'Rourke quote Very well said. The liberals are no longer "liberal". They are a bunch of control freaks who think everyone is bad and must be controlled and regulated. Screw that! Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/17/12 re: Paul Craig Roberts quote And now they have "Fast and Furious" to their credit. What a great bunch of guys these criminals really are...NOT. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/17/12 re: Mahatma Mohandas K. Gandhi quote It has a certain general point to it, but if things are destroyed in the fight for liberty it's because someone took an aggressive stand against liberty. And someone else fought to keep it. Like it or not, freedom is worth fighting for. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/16/12 re: Scott O'Grady quote And by extension...in a free society there are rewards for such commitment...in a Communist society...the commitment soon dies. 62Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/16/12 re: Harry S. Truman quote @ Jonathan - I wouldn't rely on snopes to confirm that the sky is blue. It was a Mom and Pop outfit set up by California Liberals and has since been bought by a Soros owned company. Definitely left wing biased. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/15/12 re: David B. Kopel quote Good idea Steve! And just for fun, let's add boiling oil and flaming arrows LOL Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/14/12 re: Thomas Hobbes quote No law can rightfully be made prohibiting anyone from defending themselves, their family and their property, from anybody in any way. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/13/12 re: Stephen P. Halbrook quote David has provided us with over 20 million reasons to own a gun. Thanks David. :) Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/13/12 re: John Locke quote Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/13/12 re: Stephen P. Halbrook quote And that's what "gun registration" was all about, government safety, not public safety. It holds true today. 2 Reply J Carlton, Calgary 9/13/12 re: Niccolo Machiavelli quote Every free and civilized society in history has been an armed society. There's a reason for that.
