Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/29/10 re: Bruce Montague quote Big daddy Obama knows what is best even if we don't want any of it. About 70% of Americans wanted no part of Obama care but he stuffed it down our throats anyway. Will we remember in November? 5 Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/28/10 re: James Fenimore Cooper quote Labor unions are a good example of this quote. 2 Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/28/10 re: Doctor Who quote Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers. Most of our recent elections prove this. Actually, most of our elections starting with Lincoln right up till now prove it. Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/28/10 re: Democritus quote Many a hair brained scheme from government, local, state, and federal, is done in the name of saving our children, and if you oppose it you are branded as being against children. 8 Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/27/10 re: Calvin Coolidge quote Great quote even if Dick doesn't get it. As expected, Waffler spouts his usual gibberish, he never disappoints. 3 Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/27/10 re: Robert A. Heinlein quote This quote doesn't need "sufficient background" to be understood. Obama Care is a great example of this quote. Anonymous, we all want citizens to have food ,health care, etc, but not by government stealing from producers and giving to non-producers. Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/24/10 re: Henry Kissinger quote If Kissinger isn't a commie he is certainly a fellow traveler and Waff never disappoints, he's always nuts. 4 Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/23/10 re: Walter Trohan quote I take back my comments above. The Commies did run a candidate in the last election, and he got elected. 3 Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/22/10 re: John Arthur Passmore quote " Government is not reason, it is force. Like fire it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master". George Washington 1 Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/22/10 re: Barack Hussein Obama quote Michelle is all about community when she takes off to Spain with 70 or so of her best friends and spends a few days at a ritzy hotel. at taxpayers expense. Then she has the audacity to say that being the first lady is "hell'. Maybe they were short one washcloth in her hotel room in Spain or room service took an extra 10 seconds to bring up the champagne. This bunch needs a permanent vacation in 2012. 2 Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/22/10 re: Auberon Herbert quote The Socialiists don't bother to run a candidate anymore since the Republicrats have given them almost everything they wanted anyway. 3 Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/22/10 re: Auberon Herbert quote A lady came in to Austin about 25 years ago and was interviewed on radio. She was running for president on the Socialist Party ticket. She enumerated all the wonderful things that would happen if she was elected. The interviewer asked what would be done if the citizens didn't want what she had to offer. Her answer was quite revealing, she said they would be FORCED to accept it by whatever means necessary. That's Socialism. 11 Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/21/10 re: Rexford Tugwell quote Much of the farming today is done by large corporations, so when the government props up the price of food products, such as cheese, they are aiding large corporations which liberals are always professing to hate. Farmers should sink or swim like any other business. Waffler, what "rational solutions" are you referring to? Perhaps it was when banks were told to make mortgage loans to people who couldn't possibly make the house payment. I think the term was "subprime loans". When government meddles it always makes matters worse. 5 Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/21/10 re: Franklin Pierce quote Waffler , your comments ,as usual, make no sense. It's not a "big man" who steals someones money and gives it to someone else. J carlton said it well and Franklin Pierce was that rare President that seemed to respect the Constitution. 5 Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/21/10 re: Franklin D. Roosevelt quote FDR orchestrated one of the greatest theft jobs in history when he outlawed gold and conned Americans into trading in their gold at the banks for paper. And to think that we arrest people for bank robbery when government does far worse daily. His policies to end the depression actually extended it until he was bailed out on December 7th,1941. Nothing like a good war to pull his chestnuts out of the fire. 2 Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/20/10 re: Carroll Quigley quote Waff, are you totally insane. Do the tea party folk really scare you that much as compared to the CFR? Why do everyday Americans wanting to take their country back make you so nervous. Does Sarah Palin really make you quake in your liberal boots ? I haven't heard any of "these clowns" advocating destruction of any waterways ,bays, or estuaries. Maybe you get your information directly from the Communist party. I now refer to my opening line, are you totally insane, or maybe hopelessly ignorant. Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/17/10 re: Plutarch quote The libs know this all too well and that's why they've shoved the socialist agenda down our throats a little bit at a time. Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/17/10 re: Thomas Jefferson quote To the libs, excuse me, progressives, in Washington, the Constitution doesn't mean what it says, it means what they say it means. 4 Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/16/10 re: Samuel Adams quote Some one once said that if you thought taxation without representation was bad, you ought to see it with representation. Most of our "representatives" are big government lefties who are into power and control and have nothing but contempt for the voters.who keep reelecting them. 3 Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/16/10 re: Justice Robert H. Jackson quote We have been remiss in keeping the government from falling into error but we have a chance to change this in November , unless we turn out the miscreants and replace with some just as bad. Dispensing with the likes of Harry Reid will be a good start. Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/15/10 re: Robert Hall quote Waff, how about this for "constructive", vote out the libs in November and replace with some real Americans who have respect for the Constitution. Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/15/10 re: U.S. vs. Dougherty quote Good old Jury Nullification, long may it wave. Reply jim k, Austin,Tx 9/14/10 re: Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. quote Waffler, I suspect that very few lawyers even know of jury nullification. I asked a top criminal lawyer from Ohio about it a few years ago and he had never heard of it. This man was president of the Ohio Association of Criminal Defence Lawyers at one time. Judges love to keep jury nullification a secret as knowledge of this for juries would limit their power. Previous 25 Next 25 SaveOk2 Share on Facebook Tweet Email Print
