Recently the 'quotes' have actually been lengthy excerpts from various sources. To my mind quotes should be brief but pithy insights that illuminate a concept in very few words. Try memorizing and then working into a conversation any of the last half dozen or so verbose passages phrased in tediously convoluted language and see what I mean.
