Charles Augustus Lindbergh, Sr., the United States Congressman from Little Falls, Minnesota, [1910-1917] is known to have been the most articulate opponent of the Federal Reserve legislation as it passed through Congress in the period between 1910 and 1914.

What is less well known, is that later, he vehemently opposed the entry of the United States into World War I. For this he was excommunicated out of the Republican Party in 1917 by the “top brass” – who were all well-connected men of Wall Street.

After the elder Lindbergh was bell, booked & candled from the Republican Party, he went on to co-found the Farmer-Labor Party - which, by the time of its greatest influence, in 1932, held sway over more than fifteen per cent of the electorate. This much is buried - or un- celebrated - History.
