Though Ben Franklin and Mr. Felton are a few centuries apart, both hit the bullseye of truth in their observations and insights on the human nature of Congress and its constituents. Structural guides/controls like checks and balances, term limits, transparency in decision making and similiar constraints are required to protect ourselves from ourselves.
