What a frightening society we will have if our government is ever stupid enough to force all students to attend public schools. The idea of family choice argues that parents might actually know their children better than the bureaucrats teaching in the schools, and be better able to fit the child's educational experience to the child's needs. 2 Reply Nancy, Lancaster 1/9/09 re: John Dewey quote Typical Dewey garbage!!! It's frightening to know how much influence this man had and continues to have on public education. 3 Reply Nancy, Lancaster 1/9/09 re: National Education Association Resolution quote I teach at a community college. Last night my students talked about how mind-numbing their educational experience was, and how a couple of bad students in a class could prevent the rest from learning. The beauty of home schooling is that education can be tailored to the student. The ones who can excel can move at their own pace, those who need extra help can receive it. For RBESRQ, the home schooling environment is usually much less critical and demeaning than the brutal world of school. And, since many home schooling families have multiple children, the children do learn from one another. SaveOk2 Share on Facebook Tweet Email Print
