There has been a conspiracy to change this country from a capitalist/free-to-succed-free-to-fail country for decades. And for those who wanted the change, it is here now in the form of Barack Obama. And for those of us who knew this was THEIR goal we will not accept that. If we are part of a conspiracy to stop THEIR conspiracy - so be it!

I have been preaching and writing about "incrementalism" for 13 years with a weekly column in The Weirs Times (weirs.com) and my Saturday morning radio program (wezs.com 8:05-Noon Eastern). Due to a lack of backbone for Republicans in Washington it is up to the activists to take the fight to the liberals and educate the voters. This now is a very difficult task! bnyoung@metrocast.net

And the Liberals want to eliminate conservative talk radio when they are the ones with what 4 times as many outlets as conservatives with TV and newspapers? bnyoung@metrocast.net

"April 15, 2008 · The state of Maine last week passed one of the most restrictive smoking bans in the country. Dr. Jonathan Shenkin, who drove the push to regulate smoking in cars, says that while Maine's is not the first law of its kind, it goes further than any other effort to curb children's exposure to secondhand smoke." And "Police can now stop drivers who are smoking in a vehicle where passengers younger than 16 are present. For the first year, the penalty is a warning, but thereafter, smokers ferrying children face a $50 fine." I stopped smoking in 1994. One should not smoke with youngsters in the car - BUT government should not have the right to tell one he/she cannot smoke in their homes or vehicles. Jim K is correct! Obama represents a further move toward socialism - and like many I too will vote for Sarah Palin and her running mate! Niel Young, Laconia, NH bnyoung@metrocast.net

This sounds like an exchange of my guest panelists during my radio program. To avoid any inclination that I borrow quotes without proper attribution, when I use some of this excellent verbage in my weekly column in The Weirs Times the readers will be told where found and wh said them.
