Adams, Jefferson, and Madison all repeated Washington's warning in one form or another during their presidency's (Madison coining the phrase "entangling alliances"). It is amazing to me to hear the foolishness of the conversation on this board concerning Islamic radicalism. By the way Jefferson spent a full 1/3 (33%) of the nation's budget on fighting Islamic terrorists (by the name of the Barbary Pirates) in North Africa and the Mediterranean.
