There is a vast difference in what Jesus taught and socialism. Jesus taught voluntary service by individuals. Socialism is the redistribution of wealth by force of government.  Nowhere in the Bible is socialism taught.  In fact, God warned Israel of what they were inviting by giving up God for a human king and that was not even socialism (1 Samuel 8:11-18). And so it is! Socialism takes God off the throne of men's spirit and makes government its god. Rather than depend on God, man depends on the government. We the sheeple to the slaughter!
