Anonymous never varies from his ultra left wing position. Reply jim k, austin tx 8/4/14 re: Francis Xavier quote Ron, I was raised in a protestant Bible church. The pastor was a Moody Bible Institute grad. 1 Reply jim k, austin tx 8/4/14 re: Vladimir Ilyich Lenin quote I really like J Carlton's comment. Reply jim k, austin tx 8/4/14 re: Francis Xavier quote Teach children how to think, not what to think. I was raised in a fundamentalist church and it took me years to recover . Reply jim k, austin tx 7/31/14 re: Jeff Landauer quote I rarely disagree with E Archer, but the time is now. I seriously doubt that altruism is the"modus operandi of most governments or religions". Governments steal from productive citizens and give to the non producers and I don't call this altruism. I call it theft. Reply jim k, austin tx 7/25/14 re: Thomas Jefferson quote Mike, I have a small problem with your term "Christian based Constitution". Christian is a generic term which means different things to different people. Go to several churches with different definitions of Christianity and they will all say that they are right. Perhaps a morally or ethically based Constitution might be better terms. Remember, Jefferson and Franklin were Deists, not Christians, but were certainly moral and ethical. This includes the current one, Jimmy Carter, and old Dishonest Abe. Reply jim k, austin tx 7/23/14 re: Lord Acton quote Ron w13,Or, very interesting, but I have a small problem with one of your lines. "One would need to trust in God to endure the Chaos". This sounds about right to any fundamentalist but I don't think it's necessarily true. It certainly could be for some individuals but not all.
