Andrew Bernstein Quote

“For the first time in history, the rational and the good are fully armed in the battle against evil. Here we finally find the answer to our paradox; now we can understand the nature of the social power held by evil. Ultimately, the evil, the irrational, truly has no power. The evil men’s control of morality is transient; it lives on borrowed time made possible only by the errors of the good. In time, as more honest men grasp the truth, evil’s stranglehold will be easily broken.”

Banal and long-winded about it.

It's no wonder; he's a Professor of philosophy.

I think I would have to view this in a broader light or greater context to understand the score board of good and evil. It appears to me that baneful minions of evil are still running a muck with not much resistance. Bankers, Corporatist(s) Caste System devotees, government, etc. continue war against the middle class, entrepreneurs and economy in general with no rational or good adequately armed to do anything about it (including the war on drugs). I perceive no warriors with subject specific regulation (armament) to battle against the religious zealots of socialism (communism to fascism, progressivism to neo-conservatism, Democrats to Republicans, the welfare state to religious sacraments, etc.) What armament is battling socialism's heinous expanse (compelled compliance, license, victimless crimes, larceny with impunity, degradation of inalienable rights, etc.) ? What weapon is being used against the military–industrial–congressional complex that is taking war and chaos to the world?

Who is he talking about? obviously he's not part of the real world - I wish his sentiments were true, unfortunately they are pie in the sky. Perhaps one day this may ring true but that day is a long way off..... Mike said it!

I think I like "all it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing" better.

Believe it and be empowered.  Disbelieve it and be oppressed.  We receive what we believe.  Truth crushed to Earth shall rise again.  ;-)  I do think the people of the world are better informed than ever.  You can't fool all the people all the time.
