I suppose if one eats only processed food, this is inevitable.

(-; I like it ;-)

Licences,taxes, fees,etc, proves this quote.

Too right. Good thing the government pays for "arts" or it would be a very bland world...all hail the state!

And we will remain so. When you live a processed life you will have a processed government processed by corporations - the BIG MAC - we are what we eat.

Waffler, For The People, Smith

Sick, sick, black humour! You guys that like it do you include yourselves in the number of "processed people" and "ants". Some people see themselves as unique individuals and see others as ants or processed people. Funny isn't it? Maybe we should others as we see ourselves, kind of like the Golden Rule.

J Carlton, Calgary

While many people are interesting or knowlegable in their own way about various things...the majority seem completely oblivious to the regime under which they live. That would be because they have been properly processed to be "good" citizens who don't ask questions. And our whole system depends on us not asking questions.

If it ain't manufactured, packaged, vaccum sealed, and stamped with a logo, we don't buy it. If it isn't planted, it is a weed and needs to be eradicated. Wild things are to be cut down or caged. 'Natural' means 'barbaric' and 'Free' means obedient. Yes, that's progress for you...

Homer, Springfield

Waffler, we are all unique individuals, just like everyone else. ;-)

Ken, Allyn, WA

Of course I don't see myself like that Waffler: only Democrats.

Lynda, Kirkland

People have become *Sheeple* and buying into and believing what the mainstream media tells them. Brainwashed would be a more definitive term. L.P., Kirkland, WA

I do think that many people are "processed" by society. It takes a strong sense of self and right and wrong to not fall to the apathy of this and previous generations. Ours, though, has reached an unacceptable level in my opinion. This generation has been so watered down by the driving force known to us as political correctness that the basic ingredients (honor, empathy, ethics, etc) that our country was made great by are nearly unrecognizable and; therefore, nearly obsolete. We have groups for everything, pills for everything, excuses for everything, therapy for everything, a named "disease" for everything but no real cure for any of it if we fail to recognize the basics.

Waffler, Smith

Ken states the epitome of elitist Republican philosophy and why they are and always will be a minority party. They are really about looking down and sneering at others. If they become a bigger and bigger party they will have no one to look down upon. The smaller they are the more they will have to sneer at and look down upon, and that is what ultimately makes them happy.

It seems to me that the nature - or purpose - of certain forms of art, such as, "Black Humor", or "Irony", is to cause "The People" to question the status quo... And only by questioning, do we ever arrive at an answer... And only by arriving at an answer do we ever endeavor to achieve actual change.

Two frogs, after a soaking spring rain, went for a walk behind a horse drawn wagon travelling along a country road. They were enjoying the fresh air, blue sky, and chirping of the crickets and fragrance of the flowers and grass which the could not see because they were walking in the rut created by the wagon wheels. A happy frog walking at ground level was cheerfully whistling when he spotted two (democratic) frogs in the rut and said "fellows, come up here with me and you can enjoy all of nature" " we are in this rut and can't get out' was the reply. Suddenly the sound of another wagon coming down this country road! Because these frogs were still teachable and listened to the encouragement of the frog "On Top". We suddenly hear three frogs happily whistling in the refreshing spring air.

This is directed at all the wafflers in the world and those who have been but choose to find a lesson in this for their own life.
