“Some lawyers and judges may have forgotten it, but the purpose of the court system is to produce justice, not slavish obedience to the law.”

Law enforcement is an oxymoron. How does man enforce gravity, the sciences, fiscal law, etc. ? He can't ! He can only enforce unlawful despotism and tyranny. Man can only use tools such as codes, ordinances, regulations, rules, statutes, etc. to either harmonize with or, go contrary to the law. When man calls his tools law, injustice is born. Man does have an ability to act at justice. When courts act against an individual in matters of compelled compliance, license, victimless crimes, and inalienable rights, the courts produce grave injustices. Obedience to an unjust man's tool, is an unlawful act. Courts are now legislators and enforcers of injustice.

Perhaps you've noticed that no matter how much evidence proves that a man in prison is really innocent, prosecutors will never admit that they were wrong. 50 people can swear that the prisoner was in China when the crime happened in Texas and the prosecuting attorney will still say he's guilty.
