The revolt was a move from tyranny to an acceptible doctrine,

E Archer, NYC

Of course the quote can be twisted to be used by any 'dissident' from the right or left. But I believe the 'spirit' to which Ike refers is indeed a spirit of skepticism and of the courage to express it.

We are all descendend from people who came from abroad who proceeded to import slaves, kill the natives and who are now complaining about the illegal immigrants...... quit aggrandizing yourselves and face your history!

Crystal, Pittsburgh, P.A.

Dirk, these illegal immigrants are ruining America - open your eyes!

Mike, Norwalk

I absolutely agree with Archer. Though dirk's perspective has a string of accuracy, it does not address or relate to the creation of the most free administration of individual sovereignty and inalienable rights ever experienced. The now accepted doctrine is a socialist theocracy that enslaves everyone.

Perhaps the largest class action would be in order. If the smoking gun is at your feet why not pick it up. Like most, who have any insight they are afraid of loosing their head.
Dirk, some of us are of mingled blood, and know our history very well. The over view through which you look is distorted by those who wish to hide the truth.

Mike, Norwalk

watchman 13, well said.
