I think it is a good quote because It was from somebody who was really important, and also because I really need a quote for my social studies project

Good quote, but the USA is a republic, not a democracy. Also, FDR was a socialist asshole.

This sentiment was common among liberals at the time.  I'd like to know the context since FDR's actions certainly did not reflect this statement.

A case in point of: "do as I say, not as I do". Roosevelt, may be next to Wilson in destroying Constitutional law and prosperity. Here Roosevelt speaks a natural law accuracy - hiding the socialist behind the mask. Five stars for accuracy of the statement.
