I think it is a poor quote. Gun control was never about race control, like marriage licences were many years ago. Gun control is about CONTROL of all peoples. The govenment has become tyrannical and fears the law abiding freedom loving people.

I agree Howard. This is about citizen control and our right to defend ourselves against a government out of control. Our abiity to defend ourselves against criminals-which is why I own mine--isn't even a factor or the government would be deregulating gun ownership. There is a whole sector of society, and this gent is apparently part of it, who cannot look at an issue without seeing it in black and white, Not EVERYTHING is about race!

Whether we would like to agree with this or not, history shows this quote to be true. When the black slaves were freed, many states passed laws to keep guns out of the hands of blacks. Is there any coincidence that gun control has been most implemented in cities with predominantly black populations like DC, Chicago, Detroit, NYC, etc.? It is no accident. I agree, though, that the end game is the control of ALL people -- the point is that whites have supported gun control for blacks for centuries.
