I would not have agreed government was force without reason -- until now

Ah, but the 60s & 70s showed us the same thing... force without reason... even while some great moves were made (the moon walk, the "great society", etc), we found ourselves in a "war" that could not be won fighting it for all the wrong reasons... hum... just like so much that King George W has done to us today!

Whether Washington said it or not, is not the issue. It is not an opinion -- it is a DEFINITION. The difference between your tax bill and your United Way "suggested contribution" is that the government can force you to pay. btw, does anyone know WHO actually said it? Or when? How long has it been attributed to GW? Perhaps there is no primary source document, but is there proof it was NOT GW?

An ominous warning to those who would put their faith in government. If government is not regarded as a "necessary evil," it will surely become our Big Brother.
