One of the provisions of the UN Charter is that the world's military would always be under the command of Russia. This has always been the case up until today. The UN is a socialist organization with no recognition of the inalienable rights of the people -- all their writs are declarations from their own authority. The UN places itself above the individual and derives its powers not from the consent of the governed, but from the bankruptcy of all the nations within it (UN/IMF/World Bank). So say good-bye to freedom and hello to the global welfare/slave/police state.

I read in a book, Behold A Pale Horse by William M. Cooper that in the year 2006, the UN will attempt to abolish the practice of all religions and establish One religion for the New World Order. It will inform you of the true operations and purpose of the UN, the CFL and other "secret" organizations whose intents are to controll all aspects of our lives in the New World Order.

Until we recognize national sovereignty as the ultimate cause of wars we shall never know peace. Especially since we foment more than our share of wars.

The ultimate cause of war is the lust for power -- which the UN does not solve. Quite the opposite really as its true intention is to centralize all power with the banks -- without which the ability for any country to wage war would be quite impossible. Don't worry, there will still be plenty of war in the world -- what else are we going to watch on TV? Plus, war is good for business -- just ask Bush and friends.

Of course the U.N. promotes war! The 5 permanent members of the security council make money from selling arms to warring countries.

D. Trice; Humans made war BEFORE there even was a NOTION such as 'sovereignty'. What? NOW the 'cause' of war is 'sovereignty'? Is that like NOW the reason we're in Iraq is to 'bring freedom' to the Iraquis? Help me out here. I'm a bit slow on the uptake you know.

Mr. Trice, I would suggest you read some of Thomas Hobbes work. Nations are simply conglomerations of human beings. Human beings are inherently warlike, mostly because we want someone else's things without working for them. Secondly, we all enjoy a good fight now and then.

We need to get out of the UN and send the whole bunch elsewhere, maybe N. Korea where they would be right at home

To all you complaining liberals. It was FDR and Harry Truman who got us into the UN. Truman put us into Korea and JFK-LBJ placed us into Vietnam. I ask you now, "What are you complaining about?"

The quote is accurate. The power of any government over it's people is rooted in its ability to make war and the domestic policies that go with it. There are many temporary laws in place left over from long gone wars, that allow the government to declare marial law at the drop of a hat, steal people off the street and confiscate property that it boggles the mind. And most recently we have the Patriot Act which is unConstitutional on every level and sanctioned on both sides of the aisle. Still think we have a Government of the people, by the people?

History has proven the quote absolute.
