John Paul Jones Quote

“An honorable Peace is and always was my first wish! I can take no delight in the effusion of human Blood; but, if this War should continue, I wish to have the most active part in it.”

~ John Paul Jones

letter to Gouverneur Morris, Sept 2, 1782

Mike, NORWALK

I too believe in an honorable Peace (at law and liberty) and that it is still possible in this nation of States united. I continue a most active part in that struggle. I though, am not all that naive to the probable War between angry helots, serfs, slaves, and other religionists of progressivism, socialism and other despotic isms and, freemen that prefer an existence of natural law with an 'order' exemplifying such, inalienable rights, and liberty.

E Archer, NYC

An American sentiment.
