It's most certainly conceivable once you understand that the governments of the day are bought and paid for and no longer represent "you".

Today's dictatorships (seen and unseen) utilize both the tyrannical totalitarian reality of "democracy" as well as a more subversive theocratic dogma enhancement / enforcement (inclusive of morphing forms of socialism).

A world of unseen dictatorship is not only conceivable but fully established.
