Olive Cushing Dwinell Quote

“Hamilton's whole monetary policy is based on unconstitutional grounds and unsound reasoning, and fraudulent statements. His policies were fought through the whole public career of Franklin, Jefferson, Madison, Randolph and many another truly great lovers of Republican Government. His policies have proved to be more destructive of our independent and democratic form of government than the old subjugation of the Colonies by Great Britain. The deliberations in Congress over Hamilton's Bank Bill, and the opinions of members of The Cabinet show the intensity of feeling between the private money interests and those supporting the Constitution. History records that the “money changers” have used every form of abuse, intrigue, deceit and violent means possible to maintain their control over governments by controlling the money and its issuance.”

Richard Salsman, Durham, NC

This is utter ignorance. The evils complained of in 1946 have nothing to do with the stupendous achievements of Hamilton in the 1790s. He and his Federalist launched the US from a sound constitutional and monetary footing, which fostered sound money, economic dynamism, and prosperity for a century thereafter. That this had eroded, by 1946, reflected decades of a spreading populist Jeffersonian democracy hostile to capitalism.

Richard, Jefferson would not be a democrat by today's standards. He was a strong believer in individualism. That would include business owners as well.

Might makes right, two wrongs make a right ? Remembering the 140,000 imprisoned for speaking out against FDR's forced exactions from We the People, stamping out the " Little farmer " from the country. Elitism capitalist care not if the commoner is at Liberty or not. For ( They ) only trust in their money. Regardless of what type of government. Who cares if the general public is reduced to wage slavery. People are a throw away commodity in this country NOW. As around the world, transformed to socialism. Capitalism in and of itself, ok, but at the cost of the individual sovereign's Liberty. Obviously Richard Salsman, Durham, NC, cares nothing for " The Declaration of Independence of the United States of America. Then he would understand the cry of Liberty for ALL.

Since the founding of the USA, there have been well over 40 notable recessions (most luminary, starting in the 1790s), the vast majority being tied to national fascism and central bank policies all based on Hamilton's concepts of an elitist body politic and a central bank financial control.

John W. Tobin, Newcastle, Wa.

hamilton was a POS statist who wanted to continue the same dictatorial policies that the True Founders, and We the People had just fought a long and bloody war to get rid of.
