Paula Poundstone Quote

“The wages of sin are death, but by the time taxes are taken out, it's just sort of a tired feeling.”

Paula, you can do better. Women don't think taxation is funny. Men lower themselves to that level. Men also talk about baseball. Being neurotic and female is funny. Do female humor. The joy of pretending to make everything seem FUN: flossing, answering the phone while buffing the floor is funny. I always wanted more than a husband, home and children. All I ever wanted was a cigarette.

After taxes, what is there left to feel tired about? I think "exhausted" would have been a better word. Also, a cigarette is a poor excuse for a reasonable quote,

Bridget wields a mean claymore. I hope she has lots of cigarettes - if that is her sole goal in life.
