I'm 99.314% sure a lot of the statistics you look up are based on a manipulation to facilitate a desired outcome (-; the rest you made up ;-)

I heard 87% of all statistics were made up on the spot, 94% of the time :)

Very clever, Mike and Carlton. A fine example is the report from the CBO on the Obama Health Care bill. The information "fed" to them was false, so the final cost analysis figures are totally inaccurate. The bill as implemented will bankrupt this country. I am 100% sure of that and I believe that is a true statistic.

The made up statistics are like when our loopy Vice President tells about all the jobs created by Obama and the gang.

Unfortunately, in the vast majority of cases the stats we look up are made up.

I like the comments! ;-) A good statistician can make a graph go up or down -- just tell him which way you want it to go and he can do it with the same numbers just arranged in a different way. I know -- that is what I do! ;-)
