Ronald Reagan Quote

“We need true tax reform that will at least make a start toward restoring for our children the American Dream that wealth is denied to no one, that each individual has the right to fly as high as his strength and ability will take him. . . . But we cannot have such reform while our tax policy is engineered by people who view the tax as a means of achieving changes in our social structure.”

The Tax System is tied to the fiat money system -- as long as we have one, we have the other.

Amen brother Ron!!! The income tax is the source of federal social engineering and federal fiat. And direct election of Senators is its greatest aid. The more democratic we become the less free we are. fairtax.org

The two are inevitably connected

As someone who grew up in a home with a full time working father and part time working mother and yet was still on food stamps and welfare, attended an Ivy League school on government grants and loans, and who now gladly pays very substantial taxes to both the state and federal governments, I can personally say "hog wash". King George W is the thing to fear, not taxes or social programs.

When man (being on this planet by accident of choice) is touted as the supreme being, latter day liberalism (differentiated from the founders) is the dogma (political ethos) that envisions a society of slaves (all being equal, except of course for the Alpha tax master)

Taxes are turning our country into a socialist state. We are no longer free to choose what to do with the fruits of our own labor. Government uses our taxes to get what they want, seldom using it to get what I want.

What Reagan meant by "true tax reform" was you the people pay the tax and we the rich will trickle some of it down to you. The graduated income tax as it was designed originally is still the best tax system ever devised. And since the powerful elite have used their oligarchic power to become obscenely rich, a wealth tax would be quite reasonable and ethical now.

We could sure use him now

as we all know, that man had a warped perception on the american dream...obviously. befor he makes(or made) a statement such as that, he should have given people of liw income the means to pay taxes in stead of marginalizing and criminalizing them for recieving aid. his notion on the "welfare queen" is extremely unethical and inhumane. if a 15 year old can figure this out(me) then anyone can.

Only the FairTax makes cost of the federal government visible. By eliminating payroll taxes, consumers will see the connection between what the government spends and our own earnings. The FairTax restores the role of the citizen and is the shortest path to full economic recovery. Ronald Reagan would love it!

The 2nd plank of the communist manifesto is a crime against humanity (it makes slaves of all) There is no direct / indirect tax on the individual sovereign from the federal body politic that is needed to finance a de jure Constitutional republic. Property tax is diametrically opposed to a guaranteed republican form of government that recognizes the individual sovereign's inalienable right to own property and to his happiness. The oligarchy gods of demonic socialism require the enslaving taxes to perpetrate their social engineering.

The line in the ideological sand: "tax policy is to be engineered as a means of achieving changes in our social structure."

The power to tax is the power to destroy, and as has been feared all along by the common people, taxes are applied directly, without limit, and 'progressively' (i.e. perpetually increasing) until all are enslaved or destroyed. So who to destroy and who to bring up? The welfare plantations get little of what is taken from the 'rich' and what they do get is more welfare!

Good for you, Reston, for getting an Ivy League college (i.e. 'liberal'?) education and freeing yourself from government dependence. I can certainly see why you would praise the system under which you have been conditioned and have benefited. It is only right that having been a recipient of government benefits, you give back. Who's to say what would have happened if your family chose not to apply for food stamps -- I have seen many poorer families than yours with ingenuity and joy face life's struggles.

Take a look at the bigger picture -- the record numbers of unemployed and the tanking economy is directly related to government shenanigans -- then they 'bail out' their 'constituency.' Crashing the economy and making 51% of the electorate dependent upon government largess is a way to keep the oppressors in power while they claim to be fighting for the little guy. Clinton is a perfect example. If you don't vote for her, there is a chance that government check is going to be stopped. Oldest trick in the political book!!!

Again, the 2nd plank of the communist manifesto and property tax are criminal activities contrary to "the laws of nature and of nature's God" (Declaration of Independence) that achieve an enslaved social structure. Taxation by inflation, regulation and canon for theocratic profiteering are a criminal enslavement that also achieves a change in social structure. Taxation by judicial civil penalties / payments for alleged criminal activities is an illicit means of achieving changes in our social structure. Unconstitutional / anti-nature’s law taxing of compelled compliance, government licenses, victimless crimes, larceny with impunity, no matter how deeply hidden, are an illicit means of achieving changes in our social structure. Direct and indirect taxation, no matter how deeply hidden, that endeavor to support services beyond immediate protection of individual sovereignty, inalienable rights and liberty is an illicit means of achieving changes in our social structure. True tax reform that would restore the natural law / just “American Dream would truly be a “GIANT” start toward the ideal of a land of the free and home of the brave.
