Sadly those who show themselves worthy of enjoying freedom seem too few.

I suspect that the majority of Obama voters were more interested in security than in freedom.

Without freedom we will soon loose all of our security. It is handouts that the informed Obama voter was looking for. The rest of them were not paying attention. They wanted change and hope. Just like pulling the lever on a slot machine. Like buying a pig in a poke in spite the bag being open they refuse to look in because they would rather have hope than knowledge.

First they came for Islam radicals, then they came for right wing extremists (gun owners, religious, the charitable, lovers of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, etc.), then they came for those that enjoyed freedom, and then when they came for me there was no one left to help.

I think Teddy meant "those who vote". Freedom loving people are those who vote. As far as handouts in the US it is Alsakans that "take the cake" with every man, woman and child getting close to $2,000 of socialized oil money. Outside the US it is the oil rich Kuwait'is who are on the the oil dole and we fought and died to defend the socialist slobs. So why do y'all complain about others here that might get a little help when they need it. What am I missing in your argument Jim K. or is it that you love Alaskans and Kuwait but hate Americans.

You have to act like an adult to deserve freedom: that is, be responsible for you own actions and your own life, not depending on mother government to spoon feed you your whole life. Whining, mewling children suckling at the government teat not only don't deserve to be free, they in fact cannot be free until they grow up.

True on so many levels. Freedom may be a gift, but it is still a responsibility.
