Its a great quote if you love communism, socialism, fascism, compeled compliance, slavery, and a godless society (of course liberty nor freedom can exist there). The author has further traced anti-Christian thought patterns in other publications.

Mike forgot that enjoyment of any of the radical religious right type views also flurish under such (false) utopias... for they too are godless societies, worshiping their piety rather than true god.

Are we forgetting what Utopia means? Or that it does not exist? Utopia could not exist. Paradise will. And uniformity will not be a requirement.

This is an observation from Molnar's work "Utopia: The Perennial Heresy." He is not supporting this lunacy but debunking it (I think based on the book title). As Mike said....another word for Utopia and uniformity (ie equal results for all as opposed to a free enterprise results oriented reward system) is totalatarianism. End of story. And friends...have no doubt about this--thsi is precisely what our "liberal" friends are aiming for, with THEM making the rules. That is totally different than having morals.

The conservative right wingers have their version of Utopia, too -- it is not simply a 'liberal' issue. The day I hear a conservative say 'I don't know' will be a red letter day. Of course the day I hear a liberal declare his independence would also be notable. Talk about utopia...

Liberals tend to want a utopia of equal outcomes for the masses. Of course there will also need to be a ruling elite to administer all of this "equality", and they will have the most "equality" of all.
