Thomas Paine Quote

“It is impossible to calculate the moral mischief, if I may so express it, that mental lying has produced in society. When a man has so far corrupted and prostituted the chastity of his mind as to subscribe his professional belief to things he does not believe he has prepared himself for the commission of every other crime.”

ABSOLUTELY ! ! ! now, what exactly is the definition of is ? A great foundation and explanation of why torture and assassination are now occuring at such high rates (both behind closed doors and out in the open); and, why buisness are either going out of business or leaving for another country (productive commerce can not last long in a criminal atmosphere)

I'm with Mike on this and I love Thomas Paine. His book,"The Age Of Reason" is well worth reading.
