I originally felt a lil-tweek because everything was couched in a cause and effect instead of a 'that which is'. By example: the man that is love, loves liberty. The man that is substantive enough to be responsible for self (family, etc.) also loves liberty. 'BUT', in the context given, describing those that truly love liberty and those that don't, the statement is very accurate.
