United States Economics , Fed , Money , IRS , Taxation Ratings and Comments Reply Mike, Norwalk 4/10/08 another supreme court lie redefined by IRS application Reply J Carlton, Calgary 4/10/08 Main Entry: dis·train Function: verb Etymology: Middle English distreynen, from Anglo-French destreindre, from Medieval Latin distringere, from Latin, to draw apart, detain, from dis- + stringere to bind tight 1 : to force or compel to satisfy an obligation by means of a distress 2 : to seize by distress ...Somebody's lying. Reply jim k, austin, tx 4/10/08 ...And God help you if you don't volunteer. Reply warren, olathe 4/10/08 The IRS activities to force payment are extra constitutional. Perhaps that is what the dudes in the robes are saying. Maybe the dudes think your trip to jail is voluntary. Poor Laszlo, our family can't shake pinkos. Federal (central) taxes on citizenry is illegal! So is the "Fair Tax" which would replace the IRS with the ICS (Internal Customs Service) Reply E Archer, NYC 4/11/08 It's a fine line -- some folks have been successful with such a defense in court -- most not. The de jure Constitutional republic has no more courts (Common Law) in which these crimes against the noble sovereign (as Mike reminds us) can be tried. All we have are the Admiralty/Maritime commercial courts, and by entereing them, one grants that colorable jurisdiction over them, and whatever the judge says goes (juries are merely opinion polls -- but since the entire jury selection process has been corrupted, no one really notices). However, juries are the last line of defense against rogue government -- one person alone may stand up against bad laws by not convicting the poor soul arrested by these thieves. Juries have the right to judge the law as well as the facts. Reply Cal, Lewisville, TX 6/6/13 Maybe why FDR started taking it from your paycheck before you get your own money from your employer.
