Ann, We had a "born again Christian" president awhile back by the name of Jimmy Carter. Carter was one of the worst presidents in our history. Two of our best presidents, Adams and Jefferson were Deists. I care not about the religion of our leaders as long as they aren't Muslims. Jimmy has made me a bit leary of this "born again" thing.

The Brady Bunch and the Obama crowd are working overtime to disarm the citizens. If this happens only cops, the Army, and criminals will have guns. And did you see the video of the man driving a lawnmower down a road with several wagons of beer behind on his way to a party.A burly cop pulled him over, threw him down to the pavement and handcuffed him. When the man asked of his rights, the cop said he had none. It is probably on YouTube, if so, check it out.

Nixon tried wage and price controls and it resulted in shortages of nearly everything and was a disaster to the nations economy. Rent control is a good example and always results in shortages of housing. Alcohol and drug prohibition is, and has always been, a disaster, creating more problems and solving none.

This is long over due. Drug prohibition has led to more grief than anything since Nixon set uo the DEA 41 years ago. LEAP.cc.

If I was in charge of reducing government spending, the first order of business would be to get rid of the DEA and tha War on Drugs.
