His acknowledged place in philosophy was that of a SOVEREIGNINDIVIDUAL, and his record transcended mere cities or states. And, oh!, by the way ... excepting that wars have heretofore been largely affairs of states (Islamic Terrorism being a possible exception) ... what evidence prompts the suggestion that "world" (presumably without city states or modern states) would be any less prone to war?
